Among the heirloom beans, sweet corn kernels and piles of pumpkin seed packets, Tracy Jackson was at the Michiana Regional Seed Swap on Saturday looking for salad ingredients she could grow at home.
Gardening is in Susie Sonflieth’s bones. Raised by her grandparents on a farm in Texas, she and her cousins spent their summers growing corn, okra and other crops the family would sell at the market.
